MICOA organized a training course on “Using Different Types of Articles in Public Relations and Communications.”

On October 29-30, 2021, the association organized an interactive training on "Using Different Types of Articles in Public Relations and Communications."

In 2020, MICOA conducted a survey on whether journalists are ready for digital transformation. Survey results revealed a lack of insightful content about digital transformation and the need to improve journalists' knowledge and expertise about the telecom industry, its terminology and available information sources. The training course was organized to address this gap.

The course objective was to provide learning and development opportunities to analysts and copywriters in the information and telecommunications industry. Fifteen participants were selected from CITA, CRC, and various MICOA member organizations based on their well-rounded knowledge of the industry, ability to approach problems analytically and interest in journalistic writing.

Ts. Chimeddondog, a journalism and public relations instructor, led the training. The course provided a comprehensive overview of different public relations articles. Topics also included critical and analytical thinking in writing and sharing compelling insights about the telecom industry across various media, including newspapers, websites, and social networks. At the start of the course, participants selected more than a dozen topics and gained practical experience in writing. Throughout the training, their articles were improved and enriched using the theoretical learnings gained from the course.

The course contributes to timely and effective writing and storytelling using reliable sources to examine relevant issues and inform decision-makers.
