DESCRIPTION:
This course is designed to immerse participants in the technological evolution and standard advancement of 5G and 5G-Advance, the development, policies, and ecosystem of the 5G industry as well as the typical application areas of 5G, such as energy, industry, education, healthcare, culture, and tourism, etc. It also covers deployment modalities through case studies in emerging technologies like AI, cloud computing, and big data. Moreover, this course provides general knowledge of the Handbook on Spectrum Monitoring and an introduction to the advanced techniques of using small satellites in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) for radio monitoring and interference geolocation. Additionally, participants will be introduced to the development experiences and practices of digital and network infrastructures globally and in China, including Industrial Internet Identity, broadband networks, and IPv6, and Computing Infrastructure.
TARGET POPULATION:
This training is targeted towards senior managers, engineers and employees from Ministries, Regulators, government agencies, non-profit groups, academia that are interested in building their capacity in 5G development and application, new and emerging technologies, spectrum monitoring, and digital and network infrastructures. Other institutions and individuals that are interested in building their capacity in the above mentioned areas are also welcome to participate.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
The participants are highly expected to have communication engineering educational background and basic knowledge of ICT, in particular mobile communication is the basic requirement for participants.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Discuss technological evolution and standard advancement of 5G and 5G-Advance;
- Give general image of 5G application in different areas, such as energy, industry, health care, education, etc
- Outline the latest application trends of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, cloud computing, big data and their industrial development trends;
- Use the latest information on all aspects of monitoring contained in the Handbook on Spectrum Monitoring ;
- Explain the advanced techniques of utilizing small satellites in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) for radio monitoring and interference geolocation; and
- Apply experiences and practices for digital and network infrastructures deployment, including Industrial Internet Identity, broadband networks, and IPv6, and Computing Infrastructure.
